Allura Partners Recruits AI Lead for Metcash

Allura Partners has successfully placed Peet Vermeulen as AI Lead at Metcash, focused on building AI capabilities and high-impact use cases across Metcash's business divisions.

The recruitment process was conducted in collaboration with Metcash’s internal team and led by Kaio Desouza, Principal Consultant at Allura Partners.

Peet brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Judo Bank. His deep expertise in both the financial and retail sectors, highlighted by his time at Woolworths and his recent work as an AI consultant, positions him to lead transformative change at Metcash.

Looking ahead, Peet will focus on developing practical use cases and a comprehensive AI strategy. These initiatives will be implemented across the business to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and ultimately boost profitability and long-term resilience.
