Allura Partners has successfully placed Sammy Michaels as Chief Financial Officer at PropertyMe, a leading SaaS Property Technology platform backed by global investment firm EQT.

PropertyMe engaged Allura Partners following EQT’s recent acquisition of the business and the appointment of Brian Donn as CEO, as the company enters its next phase of growth and transformation. Founded in Australia, PropertyMe is used by more than 6,300 real estate agencies managing over 2 million rental properties across Australia and New Zealand.

The executive search was led by Tom Hattersley, Principal at Allura Partners and Jenny Yang, Engagement Manager at Allura Partners, who partnered closely with the PropertyMe leadership team throughout the process.

The brief focused on identifying a strategic finance leader able to support a rapidly scaling technology business operating in an increasingly digitised sector.

Sammy Michaels was identified as the successful candidate, bringing extensive finance leadership experience across growth-oriented businesses in multinational environments. In his new role, he will work closely with the CEO and Board to steer strategic planning, performance optimisation, financial governance, and business transformation initiatives across the organisation.

A key focus for Sammy will be supporting PropertyMe’s continued scale and innovation agenda, including strengthening financial and operating frameworks, overseeing digital transformation initiatives, and supporting future M&A activity and integration opportunities.

“PropertyMe is entering an important phase in its growth following EQT’s investment and the transition of the founders into non-executive Board roles,” said Tom Hattersley. “This appointment required a CFO who could combine strategic finance leadership with strong operational capability, while supporting the continued growth and development of the business.”

“Sammy stood out for his commercial mindset, leadership capability, and ability to operate effectively in high-growth, transformation-focused environments. His experience across SaaS based environments positions him well to support PropertyMe as it continues to scale its platform and strengthen its market position.”
